BioBorn a native Kryptonian, Zod slowly rose in the ranks until he became an influential military power. He was married to a scientist named Faora, who aided him in creating a "son" that would become the Ultimate Destroyer. Prior to the destruction of their planet, Zod and Faora were captured and imprisoned in the Phantom Zone as nothing more than a bodiless wraith.
But now...he has returned. The Orb has transported a younger Zod to Earth. He is annoyed to find that the Yellow Sun does not give him the powers he thought it would. The voice inside the Orb, Jor-El's supposed return, the Yellow Sun's lack of power...it's all somehow connected. And Zod will stop at nothing to find the answers he seeks.
